Your daily job and responsibilities

  1. Evaluate modern trends and confronts them with our current systems and roadmap. 

  2. Propose and plan recommendations for system development, make product development recommendations and provides business process support for system development. 

  3. Analyse and evaluate our solution and data from the business perspective and goals. 

  4. Communicate with business owners and stakeholders to define business requirements and implementation roadmap, provide professional consulting related to our systems. 

  5. Communicate with our partners to define data and functional interfaces. 

  6. Transform business needs and expectations into a solution requirements and business architecture.

  7. Work closely with our engineers in the implementation phase and ensure the accurate understanding and implementation of the specifications, guide development and implementation of changes.

  8. Develop, perform and document functional and non-functional tests to validate solution, whether fits customer or internal user expectation.

  9. Manage solution design preparation and validate implementation during testing phase.

  10. Performing system configurations or migration, data quality checks.

  11. Keep updated business and user documentation.

Jan is CEO of MAKERS, one of the co-owners and you will cooperate with him. He is an enthusiastic and innovative business and product developer, software project manager. Part of his journey is a positive impact on the community in which he works, he established the IoT BA community.

 

The System Engineering team is responsible for overall engineering practices, processes and policy registry. We manage product roadmap, prepare requirements and coordinate solution design and architecture decisions.

Relevant skills, knowledge and experience

  • MUST HAVE

    • Ability to translate and prioritise business needs into requirements and prepare a proposal of solution from user and high-level system perspective

    • Data analysis skills and ability to interpret collected data into proposal of product improvements in the form of analytical models and algorithms

    • Knowledge of the energy industry - familiarity with energy markets, renewables, distributed energy resources and site optimization.

    • Ability to present and communicate results to technical and non-technical audiences

  • SHOULD HAVE 

    • Solid knowledge of relevant technological concepts of solution architecture and it’s technological specifications

    • Structured software development experience including Agile software development

    • Experience building, maintaining and improving optimization models (e.g., LPs, MILPs and open-source solvers); preferably in the energy sector

    • Experience working with SCM (git)

    • Ability to communicate and align people from various professions, backgrounds, and cultures

  • NICE TO HAVE

    • Experience building, maintaining and improving optimization models (e.g., LPs, MILPs and open-source solvers); preferably in the energy sector
